The Comparison of Shoulder Muscle Activity depending on the Shoulder Flexion Angle of the Wall Slide Exercise in Open Kinetic Chain and Close Kinetic Chain
Kim Byung-Kon

Han Jong-Man
Abstract
The purpose of this study was conducted to compare how to applying the of the shoulder muscles activity during bending at 60¢ª, 90¢ª, 120¢ª humeral flexion after divided into closed kinetic chain (CKC) exercises and open kinetic chain (OKC) exercises in the wall slide exercise. Subjects of the present study was conducted in healthy Female 18 out of students in D-College, used an 8-channel wireless surface EMG for data acquisition and signal processing of upper trapezius, serratus anterior, lower trapezius and pectoralis major according to the when the bending angle of the shoulders flexion. Coed 18 subjects were randomly placed in divided each 9 in the group slide closed chain exercise and the open-chain wall slide exercises. Subjects were performed for 5 days. The third set were performed by 20 to tie the one set, the break between each set was set to 5 minutes. The results of this study showed no significant difference was not statistically significant according to the angle of each movement type (p>0.05). However, the muscle activity of serratus anterior it can be seen that the higher the angle of the exercise is increased muscle activity form clinically using a wall slide exercise, it would be better to act on the patient¡¯s shoulders diseases by weakness of the serratus anterior.
